No, Texas law requires students to be at least 14 years old to begin driver education. However, you can purchase the course ahead of time and start on your 14th birthday.

The minimum time is about 6-7 months. You need to complete the 24-hour course, hold your learner permit for 6 months, complete 44 hours of driving practice, and pass your road test.

If you turn 18 before getting your license, you can skip the 6-month permit waiting period. However, you still need to complete all coursework and pass the road test.

Only in special hardship cases. Texas may issue a hardship license at 15 if you can prove a family hardship that requires you to drive. Otherwise, you must wait until age 16.
