Retaking Failed Quizzes

If you don't pass a quiz on your first attempt, don't worry! You can retake quizzes to improve your score and demonstrate mastery of the material. Understanding these concepts is essential for safe driving.

Quiz Passing Requirements

Each lesson quiz requires a minimum score of 70% to pass. Quizzes must be passed before you can proceed to the next lesson. This ensures you have a solid understanding of Texas traffic laws and safe driving practices before moving forward.

Retaking a Lesson Quiz

If you score below 70% on a lesson quiz, you can review the material and retake the quiz. Questions may be presented in a different order to ensure comprehensive learning.

Retaking the DPS Written Exam

If you don't pass the DPS written exam (taken after Lesson 1), you must wait 24 hours before retaking it. Use this time to review the course material and focus on areas where you need improvement.

Review Before Retaking

After a failed attempt, we recommend reviewing the lesson content that corresponds to the questions you missed. The quiz results page will highlight areas where you need more study. Take advantage of the lesson review feature to reinforce your understanding before attempting the quiz again.

Score Recording

Your highest quiz score is automatically recorded in your progress report. If you retake a quiz and score higher, that improved score replaces your previous attempt. This encourages learning and improvement without penalty.

Tip
Don't rush through lesson content just to get to the quiz. Taking time to thoroughly understand the material will help you pass on the first attempt and become a safer driver.
